The “leading festival for branded content focused on fashion, lifestyle and luxury” (Vogue.it – April 01, 2015) releases today the preliminary programme for its fourth edition, taking place in Berlin at Astra Kultuhaus on June 5, 2015. Berlin fashion Film Festival (BFFF) provides a networking ground for production companies, creative agencies, and directors exploring upcoming marketing and communication trends, connecting with new fashion clients and brands and scouting for new visual talent.
Berlin fashion Film Festival 2015 (#BFFF15) professionals-focused programme features a curated selection of the 734 submissions received this year. The criteria for selection relies on creativity, originality, execution and emotional engagement to deliver a well-rounded, quality fashion film programme with the aim of illustrating upcoming visual marketing trends within the fashion, film and advertising industries.
“With fashion film developing as a genre and becoming an essential marketing tool for established brands and upcoming labels alike, we are making sure that our film programme is a fair and well-rounded representation of the latest and most creative fashion film productions out there. Berlin fashion Film Festival’s strength lies in embracing and promoting creativity, bringing together established names like River Island and Diesel with upcoming talent such as Manuel Portillo and Hermione Flyn”, states Frank Funke Head-of-Programme.
This year’s BFFF programme will dive into why an increasing number of brands are investing in fashion film, considered the future of fashion marketing, with a full day programme including talks, panel discussions, case studies, and Q&A sessions with industry professionals. Names such as Charlotte La Salle from Nowness and Stephen Whelan, EP and Founder of White Lodge will discuss topics such as The Status Quo and Future of Branded Content to illustrate how fashion film is leading communication within the fashion, lifestyle and luxury industries and how to pioneer upcoming visual marketing trends.
Berlin fashion Film Festival will end with the BFFF Award Show focused on awarding and recognising the finest creative talent within fashion film. Jury members, selected based on their experience and professional knowledge of the fashion, film, advertising and music industries, will award personally the best fashion film productions. Following the BFFF Award Show, the evening will continue with an after-show party, co-powered by Tinder, bringing together the 500 professionals attending BFFF.
